HabitStride (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the HabitStride mobile application and related services.
HabitStride does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising purposes. We do not use collected data for advertising or user tracking.
Information We Collect
HabitStride is designed to minimize data collection.
Depending on how you use the app, HabitStride may store:
- habits and routines created by the user,
- habit completion history,
- streaks and progress data,
- app preferences and settings,
- reminder and notification settings.
iCloud Sync
If iCloud Sync is enabled, your data may be securely stored using Apple CloudKit services associated with your Apple ID.
We do not directly access, collect, or store your Apple ID credentials.
Notifications
HabitStride may send local notifications and reminders configured by the user.
Notifications are processed locally on your device.
Purchases & Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions and purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store infrastructure.
HabitStride uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and validate purchase status. RevenueCat may receive information such as an anonymous app user identifier, subscription status, and purchase history. HabitStride does not send your name, email address, or other personal account details to RevenueCat. We do not collect or store payment card or billing details.
Analytics
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how HabitStride is used and to improve the app experience.
Analytics data may include:
- app version,
- device language and locale,
- country or region,
- anonymous installation identifier,
- app interactions, such as habit creation, habit completion, onboarding progress, widget usage, and purchase events.
We do not collect:
- names,
- email addresses,
- phone numbers,
- habit titles,
- notes or other user-generated habit content.
HabitStride does not intentionally collect or store IP addresses. Certain third-party service providers may temporarily process IP addresses as part of network communications or fraud prevention mechanisms.
Analytics data is not used for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
Analytics data is retained only for as long as necessary to operate, improve, and secure the service.
Crash Reporting
We collect anonymous diagnostic and crash information to identify bugs, improve stability, and maintain app performance.
We use third-party services, including Sentry, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability and performance.
Crash reports may include technical information such as:
- app version,
- device model,
- operating system version,
- error logs and stack traces.
HabitStride does not send your name, email address, or other personal account details to crash reporting services. This information is used solely for debugging and improving the app.
Crash reports and diagnostic data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate issues, improve stability, and maintain security.
Data Storage
Most data is stored locally on your device unless cloud synchronization is enabled.
Users may delete app data at any time by removing the app or resetting data within the app.
Services We Use
HabitStride relies on the following services:
- Our own analytics infrastructure operated by Quaruty, LLC, through which anonymous usage events are sent to our servers for analysis and product improvement
We also use third-party services including:
- Apple App Store, CloudKit, StoreKit, and Notification Services
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Sentry (crash reporting and diagnostics)
Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
International Data Transfers
Some service providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used to protect personal information.
Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process information based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract (to provide and maintain the app)
- Legitimate interests (to improve the app, maintain security, and prevent abuse)
